THE ADULT FORUM - The Adult Forum is a type of Christian Education done in an informal small group setting. It offers an opportunity to grow spiritually; to expand your knowledge and compassion through a variety of media and conversation. Questions? BABY HUI -Neighborhood-based support group for parents of keiki 0 - 3 years old, who are going through the normal joys and pains of parenting. www.thebabyhui.org or call 735-2484.
BOOK OF THE MONTH GROUP- . . February’s book is “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by Doris Kearns. The group will meet on February 26, 2009, 6:30pm at Jose’s in Kaimuki. For more info contact Cindi John at 225-8240.
CENTERING PRAYER is a method of prayer, which prepares us to receive the gift of God's presence. It consists of responding to the Spirit of Christ by consenting to God’s presence and action within. It furthers the development of contemplative prayer by quieting our faculties to cooperate with the gift of God’s presence. All are welcome to join us on Thursdays at 4:45 pm in the Ohana Lani Loft. GOSPEL TEXT BIBLE STUDY Join Pastor Tim in his office on most Thursday’s from 10:00 to 11:00 am as he leads a Bible study focused on the Gospel text for the upcoming worship service. Call the Parish Office to confirm.
“GRATITUDE ATTITUDE LADIES (GALS), Meet every Saturday morning 8:00 am at Common Grounds coffee shop in the Safeway shopping center. We are a group of women offering fellowship and support for each other. Each week we check in with our “high” and “low” for the week. Please join us—we’re there until at least 9:30 am, so feel free to come later. Contact Phyllis Podolske at 395-9401.
MEN'S ADVENTURES IN SPIRITUALITY-a group not for everyone. Ed Kimsey, 732-0268. Meets Saturdays at 7:45am on the marina side of ChaCha Cha Salsaria in Hawaii Kai.
PEACE & SOCIAL JUSTICEreading and discussion group meets at the home of Bob & Judy Joseph on the 4th Sunday of each month just after the 10 am service (@ 11.45 am) for brunch followed by a discussion on the topics of the month. PRAYER CIRCLE -Come join Pastor Tim in his office on Tuesday mornings at 9:00am for Prayer Circle! We will pray for those in need (those on our prayer list), our Church Ohana, the needs of the Community, and the world.
