Operation Backpack was founded in 2004 to serve those in need throughout Oahu. Members of the Episcopal and Lutheran congregations have collected items to be distributed to various people in need throughout Oahu, including:
-- Elderly individuals living in low income housing areas
-- Families living at Onemalu, a homeless transitional housing unit in Kalaeloa
-- People who are homeless and living on the Beaches near Waianae
-- Clients of Angel Network Charities
