Moving Meditation and Prayers
GODance is open to anyone who feels MOVED to feel the power of God's Grace through moving meditation. No dance or prayer experience is needed. We all move at our own pace and are giving opportunities to share. Come join us and feel the Love that is all around us.
“My Dancing is a Prayer!”
“Sit-Down, Servant!” is a lively African-American spiritual, with the refrain, “I can’t sit-down, I just got to heaven….” We at Calvary by the Sea are blessed with a location that is heavenly-like, and with members who are angels in disguise. Calvary by the Sea also understands the power of prayer, and understands prayer as our language of devotion to God.
Another prayer opportunity is being given to Calvary by the Sea. An 8 week series beginning on Monday, October 21 at 6:30pm in the sanctuary This is an opportunity to pray with your whole body. It is called “GODance" and it is led by Pulelehua Quirk.
We all have experienced times when words fail to express the groans and yearnings of our heart. “GODance” is a prayer-discipline of trusting your body to express the desires and yearnings of your heart in prayer. Come, join Pulelehua and your fellow “prayer-warriors” in expressing your devotion to God. --- Tom Poole CBTS Director of Liturgical Arts
