We have finished our first day at Wapo!More Pictures in the photo gallary
We began with chapel and one counselor shared her story about being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer of the eye and how the struggle to save her sight and her life helped her family grow closer together. The theme is “Blessed” and just hearing her story helped us all feel truly blessed.
The kids all hurried off to get into their swimsuits for the swim test. For the test they must swim the perimeter of the swimming area and then tread water for four minutes in order to get the highest level of entry. All of our kids, I am proud to say, passed with flying colors!
While waiting their turn the groups did more group building games, Bible study and other fun stuff. It just never stops here at Wapo.
In the afternoon there were cabin challenges, crafts, field games and free time. After dinner there was the very famous game of “Capture the Flag.” The entire camp is divided into two groups and two zones, the team to capture the most flags won. Jessica and Stevie both found flags for their teams! Go Hawaii!
The evening will close with Campfire, International Worship and Devotions.
A very full day, and it is only the beginning.
Blessings to all!
